Sophia Dini

Labour Market Expert and Slasher

Sophia Dini (born in 1976) is a delegate for the Energypolis Campus for the Canton of Valais. She is self-employed in business development activities, trainer for the CIFC, Expert for HES-SO Bachelor work and final examinations for high school and business schools. She was in charge of the Economic Promotion of the City of Sion and a member of the Management Board of Provins from 2010 to 2016. Ms. Dini received her PhD in Labour Economics from the Economics Department of the University of Geneva (Switzerland) in 2010. Sophia was a visiting scholar at the Institute for Research on Labour and Employment (IRLE) at the University of California, Berkeley in 2007-2008. Her research focuses on discrimination, occupational segregation and the gender wage gap. Prior to writing  her thesis, she worked at the Labour Market and Social Policy Department of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) from 2001 until 2003. She is also a proud mother of a beautiful boy.
